Cookie Policy
Effective Date: June 9, 2026
Last Updated: June 9, 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Easy QR Codes ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and application. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
We use cookies sparingly. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal information. The only non-essential category we offer is first-party analytics, and those cookies are set only if you opt in.
3. Categories We Use
- Strictly necessary cookies: required for the site and app to function — for example, keeping you signed in and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off and do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive.
- Analytics cookies (opt-in): help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. These are off by default and are only set if you enable them via our cookie banner. We use first-party analytics only — no data is shared with a third-party advertising network.
We do not use marketing, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Similar Technologies
- Theme preference (
localStorage): we store your light/dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and is not a cookie, but we disclose it here for transparency. You can clear it via your browser settings.
6. Third-Party Cookies
We keep third-party cookies to a minimum. The only third party that may set a cookie on our site is:
- Cloudflare Turnstile — a privacy-preserving anti-bot / human-verification service used on forms such as sign-up, login, and contact. It may set short-lived security cookies to protect those forms from abuse. These are strictly necessary security cookies. See Cloudflare's privacy documentation for details.
We do not embed third-party advertising, social-media tracking, or cross-site analytics tags.
7. QR Scan Cookies
When a QR code created on our platform is scanned, the visitor is briefly redirected through go.easyqrcodes.app. If we ask that visitor for consent to device analytics, their choice is stored in a separate consent cookie on that domain (for example, easyqr_consent) so we can honor it on later scans. That cookie is strictly necessary to record the choice. The scan-telemetry program itself — including what is collected and the consent model — is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the technologies we use or for legal reasons. When we make material changes we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where required, ask for your consent again.
10. Contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies, please reach out through our contact form.
