General Questions

Easy QR Codes is a powerful platform for creating, managing, and tracking QR codes. Whether you need simple static codes or dynamic codes that can be updated anytime, our platform provides all the tools you need along with detailed analytics and team collaboration features.

Dynamic QR codes contain a short redirect URL that points to our servers. When someone scans the code, they are briefly directed to our servers where we capture analytics data (device type, location, time, etc.) in milliseconds, then instantly forwarded to your destination URL. This process is completely transparent to the end user. The key advantage is that you can change the destination URL at any time without needing to reprint the physical QR code. This makes them perfect for printed materials, packaging, and marketing campaigns.

You can create several types of QR codes including: URL QR codes that link to websites, dynamic QR codes with changeable destinations, temporary QR codes that expire after a set time, and custom-designed QR codes with your brand colors and logo. All codes can be downloaded in PNG, SVG, or PDF formats.

Easy QR Codes is currently available to US-based customers, and our team, support, and hosting are all based in the United States. Note that this applies to who can sign up as a customer — the QR codes you create can be scanned by anyone, anywhere in the world.

Yes, all our plans support commercial use. You own the QR codes you create and can use them in any way you need, including in products, marketing materials, packaging, and more. Enterprise plans also include white-label solutions for agencies and resellers.

Pricing and Plans

Yes! We offer a 30-day free trial on all plans. No credit card is required to start your trial, and you can cancel anytime during the trial with no charge. At the end of your 30 days, your trial does not auto-charge a saved card you never entered — we will ask for payment information only when you choose to continue. If you do not add a payment method, your account simply moves to a limited/paused state and your data is retained so you can pick up where you left off.

No, you do not need a credit card to sign up for your free trial. You can explore Easy QR Codes completely free for 30 days. We will only ask for payment information when you decide to continue after your trial ends.

Annual billing offers significant savings compared to monthly billing. With annual billing, you save $40 on Basic ($200/year vs $240/year), $100 on Pro ($500/year vs $600/year), and $300 on Enterprise ($1,500/year vs $1,800/year). Annual plans are billed once per year.

Our Basic plan ($20/month) includes 50 QR codes, 5,000 scans/month, and 5 team members with basic analytics. Pro ($50/month) offers 100 QR codes, 10,000 scans/month, 15 team members, advanced analytics, and API access. Enterprise ($150/month) provides 200 QR codes, 50,000 scans/month, 30 team members, white-label solutions, and dedicated support.

Yes, you can change your plan at any time. When upgrading, you will get immediate access to the new features and pay a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle. When downgrading, the change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Features

Our analytics include real-time scan tracking, geographic location data with heatmaps, device and browser breakdown, time-of-day analysis, and trend reports. Pro and Enterprise plans include advanced analytics with custom date ranges, comparison reports, and the ability to export data in CSV or PDF format.

You can invite team members to your account and assign them specific roles: Owner (full access), Admin (can manage team and codes), Editor (can create and edit codes), or Viewer (read-only access). You can also set granular permissions for specific QR codes or folders.

Yes, API access is available on Pro and Enterprise plans. Our RESTful API allows you to programmatically create, update, and manage QR codes. We provide comprehensive documentation, Swagger UI for testing, and webhook notifications for real-time updates.

Enterprise plans include the option to use your own custom domain for QR code redirects. Instead of using our default short URL, your codes will redirect through your branded domain, providing a seamless experience for your users.

Yes, all plans allow you to customize QR codes with custom colors. Pro and Enterprise plans also let you add your company logo to the center of the QR code and apply advanced styling options like custom corner shapes and dot patterns.

Technical Questions

You can download your QR codes in PNG (various resolutions up to 4000x4000 pixels), SVG (scalable vector format, perfect for printing), and PDF formats. All formats maintain the highest quality for both digital and print use.

Yes, each plan has monthly scan limits: Basic allows 5,000 scans/month, Pro allows 10,000 scans/month, and Enterprise allows 50,000 scans/month. If you exceed your limit, scans will still work but analytics will be paused until the next billing cycle. You can also purchase additional scan credits.

We take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption, and we follow security best practices throughout our stack. Our team and hosting are US-based, and we follow GDPR and CCPA data-handling practices. Temporary QR codes can also be password-protected. (We are not currently SOC 2 certified; we will update this page if and when a formal audit is completed.)

Our system performs regular health checks on destination URLs. If we detect that a URL is unreachable, we will notify you via email so you can take action. Enterprise plans include automatic failover to a backup URL if configured.

We are committed to keeping your dynamic QR codes working for the long term — our goal is reliable operation for years to come. As long as your account is active, your codes will continue to function. Even if you cancel your subscription, we keep codes active for 90 days to give you time to transition or to change your mind and resubscribe.

Account Management

You can change your subscription at any time from your account settings. Go to Settings > Billing > Change Plan, select your desired plan, and confirm the change. Upgrades take effect immediately while downgrades apply at the start of your next billing cycle.

You can cancel your subscription from Settings > Billing > Cancel Subscription. Your account will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, your QR codes will continue to work for 90 days, giving you time to export your data and transition.

Yes, you can export all your data at any time. This includes QR code details, analytics data, and team information. Go to Settings > Data > Export to download your data in CSV or JSON format. Enterprise plans also include scheduled automatic exports.

If you cancel your subscription, your QR codes will continue to function for 90 days after your billing period ends. During this time, you can still access your account to export data or reactivate your subscription. After 90 days, codes will show a friendly page directing users to contact you.

To permanently delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This action is irreversible and will immediately deactivate all your QR codes. We recommend exporting your data first and ensuring you no longer need any active QR codes. Important: Suspension/Cancellation and Deletion are not the same. If billing lapses or you choose to cancel your subscription, your account is suspended but you retain read-only access to your QR codes, analytics, and other data—you simply cannot create anything new. Deletion means you are 100% certain everything has been exported or retained elsewhere and you want to be completely erased from our systems. Please exercise caution when choosing deletion.

Security

We welcome responsible disclosure. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it privately through our Contact Form with enough detail for us to reproduce the issue. Scope: our public web applications and APIs. Please do not access, modify, or delete other users' data, degrade our service, or run automated scanning that disrupts availability. We ask that you give us a reasonable amount of time to investigate and remediate before any public disclosure. We will not pursue legal action against researchers who act in good faith and follow this policy (safe harbor). We do not run a formal paid bug-bounty program; any reward or recognition is at our discretion.
